The Texas Steel Competition match consists of five all-steel stages generally (but not always) patterned after the USPSA Steel Challenge, sometimes with a little something extra thrown in.  For more detailed information on the .22 Caliber Pistol-only match, click on the appropriate button on the left.

Gates open at 9AM, signup at 9:30, and the timers beep at 10:00AM.

A .22 Caliber Pistol Fun match is held at Cedar Ridge on the 4th Saturday of every month. The fee is $15. Only .22 LR are allowed at this match. Go to .22 Match page.

The Texas Steel Competition is held at the Cedar Ridge Range in Bulverde on FM 1863 on the second Saturday of the month. Start times vary...please check the home page for registration and start times. The new shooters should arrive a little early to get safety briefing before the match.

MAJOR LOADS are NOT allowed since they will damage the steel. Those using major loads will be asked to leave the match. Major loads have "power factor" 165 or greater. Ear and eye protection are required for all shooters and spectators, and a bag for your pistol if you don't have a holster.

DRESS CODE is established in the interest of safety, No tank tops or sandals allowed in the competition. NOTE: If, during the course of the match, the shooter is hit by a hot spent shell AND THE SHELL ADHERES TO THE SKIN, the shooter may immediately stop the run to safely remove the spent shell. All targets will be reset/painted and the shooter will have the option of re-running that string, or keeping the score of the run that was stopped.

Our stages are set up to be safe, improve your skills and to have fun. So come on out and visit your friends and to meet new ones. Round count 125-150 rounds....and don't forget...plenty of magazines for magazine changes.

Texas Steel puts on these matches for shooters to
